Our Fall 2023 issue takes a deep dive on the numerous aspects of investing in land. From farmland and timber tracts to Napa vineyards and the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, our contributors traversed the country to assemble an informative resource to different land uses at various price points, including:

  • Conservation Investing. Follow Todd Wilkinson as he guides you to and through the many wonders of the American Serengeti, the last remaining region of the Lower 48 with all of its original species extant. This compelling story about investing in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem is magnificently enhanced by the stunning photography of Charlie Lansche.
  • The Gift of Land. Hall of Famer Pat Dye (1939–2020) made a name for himself by winning four SEC championships while coaching the Auburn Tigers in the 1980s and 1990s. But his commitment to Auburn didn’t end when he retired. Coach Dye and Nancy McDonald created a lasting legacy when they donated 415-acre Crooked Oaks Farm to the Auburn University Real Estate Foundation (AUREF) and the school’s College of Forestry, Wildlife and Environment (CFWE).
  • Farmland Investing. North Central Wisconsin borders wide swathes of timber tract, but Fall Line Capital saw potential in its fertile farm ground. The ag tech and venture capital firm patiently assembled a 7,428-acre portfolio and then enhanced it with an innovative series of technological advancements. The result? A $46 million auction that ranks as one of the highest-grossing sales in the 80-year history of Schrader Real Estate and Auction Company.
